Being visible to other traffic is one of the most important ways bicyclists can stay safe and help avoid collisions with vehicles.

Our Lights On bike light giveaway program works to make more cyclists more visible. Giving away bike lights is a direct and cost-effective way to improve safety for everyone on the road.

Our first light giveaway was in December 2006. Volunteers at various locations flagged down bike riders without lights and installed lights on their bikes for free. Since then, SABA has worked to make thousands of Sacramento area cyclists safer on our roads.

If you know of an area highly trafficked by cyclists and without adequate street lighting, let us know. We’re always looking for places to set up a Lights On giveaway station.
