Bike parking requirements

The City of Sacramento has one of the nation's most progressive codes for bike parking. Adopted in 2012, the code ties the number of bike parking spaces to the business type and its location within the city -- an approach the acknowledges that one size does not fit all. The code also distinguishes short-term bike parking for visitors, customers and clients from long-term bike parking for employees, tenants and residents.
