350 Sacramento
350 Sacramento believes that climate justice begins at home. This is why 350 Sacramento works at the local level to reduce pollution, empower communities, and protect the environment.
Active Transportation Commission (ATC)
The commission is established for the purpose of providing advice on strategies related to walking, bicycling, and rolling in the city. Members must have an expressed interest or demonstrated history of community involvement or interest in walking, bicycling, or rolling issues.
Alchemist
Alchemist connects communities to land, food and opportunity to foster neighborhoods that are vibrant, equitable, healthy and diverse.
Breathe California Sacramento Region
Breathe California Sacramento Region is the local chapter of the national organization devoted to clean air and healthy lungs. Breathe California was an early funder and supporter of SABA, and today serves as landlord and neighbor (SABA's office is located upstairs from Breathe California's office in downtown Sacramento). SABA serves on Breathe California's Clean Air Policy Committee.
Civic Thread
Civic Thread advances health equity and mobility justice by securing local, state, regional, and federal dollars that support Safe Routes to School, Safe Routes to Parks and Healthy Retail, and active transportation planning and infrastructure.
Community Shop Class
Community Shop Class is dedicated to creating an inclusive and sustainable working and learning environment for neurodivergent and underserved communities. CSC encourages neurodivergent learners to explore and familiarize themselves with the tools and skills required to join the workforce.
Environmental Council of Sacramento (ECOS)
ECOS strives to achieve regional sustainability, livable communities, environmental justice, and a healthy environment and economy for existing and future residents. They bring positive change to the Sacramento region by proactively working with the individual and organizational members of ECOS, neighborhood groups, businesses, local and regional agencies and governments.
Sacramento Advocates for Rail and Transit (SMART)
SMART is a not-for-profit, broad-based coalition of business, labor, transportation, environmental, neighborhood, faith-based, and community leaders who educate, organize, and advocate for expanded and improved rail and transit services for the Sacramento region.
Sacramento Area Council of Governments (SACOG)
SACOG is where local government leaders in the Sacramento region come together to advance three strategic goals of equity, economy and environment. SACOG fosters collaboration and progress for an equitable, sustainable, and prosperous future.
Sacramento County Bike Advisory Commission (SacBAC)
The purpose of SacBAC is to serve as an advisory body to the Board of Supervisors and on matters relating to overseeing the implementation of the Sacramento County Bicycle Master Plan (SCBMP) adopted April 2011. The SacBAC will also review and discuss current bicycling issues and advise the Board as appropriate.
Sacramento Metropolitan Air Quality Management District
The Sacramento Metropolitan Air Quality Management District is a public agency dedicated to achieving clean air goals by leading the region in protecting public health and the environment through innovative and effective programs, dedicated staff, community involvement, and public education. We partner with the air district to review development proposals to ensure consistency with bikeability and walkability goals. The air district is a major sponsor of our Bike Valet program.
Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD)
SMUD began serving Sacramento in 1946 and is now the nation’s sixth-largest community-owned electric utility, recognized nationally and internationally for its innovative energy efficiency programs and renewable power technologies.
Slow Down Sacramento
Slow Down envisions a Sacramento where every street is safe for all—motorists, pedestrians, cyclists, and others. They believe in a city where respect and caution reign, and where every resident shares in the responsibility to create safer streets.
Strong SacTown
Strong SacTown is a community group of Sacramento residents looking to improve and enrich Sacramento’s livability. They are a local chapter of Strong Towns, which advocates for cities of all sizes to be safe, livable, and inviting.
Transportation Management Associations (TMAs)
50 Corridor + Sac TMA
The 50 Corridor TMA focuses on reducing vehicle miles traveled through transportation demand management programs along the Highway 50 Corridor in the Sacramento region.
North Natomas Jibe
Jibe (formerly known as North Natomas Transportation Management Association or NNTMA) is a nonprofit organization that makes it easier for the North Natomas Community to walk, bike, and use public transportation.
State & National
California Bicycle Coalition
CalBike advocates on behalf of all bike-riders and bike advocacy organizations at the State Capitol and with state agencies such as Caltrans and California Department of Motor Vehicles.
League of American Bicyclists
The League of American Bicyclists represents the interests of individual bike-riders and affiliated organizations at the national level. SABA is a League member.
PeopleForBikes
Launched in 1999 as Bikes Belong, PeopleForBikes includes both an industry coalition of bicycling suppliers and retailers, as well as a charitable foundation. PeopleForBikes has played a leading role in promoting as well as funding protected bike lanes.
