Volunteers play many important roles in helping us serve the region. They donate their time and skills to help guide SABA as members of our board of directors. They also help us expand our reach by helping with these programs and activities:
We offer free valet bike parking at dozens of community events throughout the year. This year we’ll provide Bike Valet at more than 250 community events and park as many as 15,000 bikes.
We host fundraising events and social rides throughout the year and we rely on volunteers to help with tasks like staffing a registration table, helping with set-up and helping plan and lead community bike rides.
To help keep the American River Parkway safe and inviting for people on bikes, we participate regularly in clean-up days organized by the American River Parkway Foundation.
We conduct bike counts for specific projects and locations. No experience needed. We’ll teach you everything you need to know.
We could use your help! It takes many volunteers to staff all the various events that SABA participates in. Volunteering with SABA is a lot of fun: you get to hang out with other bike-minded people, and you’re helping improve conditions for bicycling in the Sacramento area.
